Salah Defends Goal Celebration Against Chelsea

Salah

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has defended his goal celebration after he found the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Chelsea at the weekend.

Salah appeared to do the tree-pose from yoga after his thunderbolt of a goal against his former club in their Premier League meeting at Anfield on Sunday.

The Egyptian international scored one of the goals of the season to double the Reds’ advantage shortly after fellow Liverpool forward Sadio Mane had given the Merseyside giants the lead off an assist from club skipper Jordan Henderson at the start of the second half.

Salah defended his tree-pose celebration against Chelsea in an interview with Sky Sports.

According to him, the celebration was unplanned and it was borne out of his love for yoga.

Mohamed Salah is back in form for Liverpool with two goals in his last three games in all competitions having gone eight games without finding the back of the net.

The Egyptian forward has now scored 22 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this term which is still a long way off from the 44 goals he recorded for the Reds in a phenomenal first campaign as a Liverpool player.

Salah and Liverpool have to contend with Premier League champions Manchester City for the league title.
