Manchester United are closing in on a deal that will see Benfica defender Victor Lindelof arrive at the Old Trafford, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been tipped to move to the Old Trafford this summer after his talks to move to United during the January transfer window, with reports that United could not meet with Benfica’s demands for the player.
Lindelof who is currently on duty with Sweden as they prepare for their World Cup qualifier with France, but it is expected that the defender will travel to Manchester to have a medical.
It is understood that Jose Mourinho wants to bring in another solid defender to partner Eric Bailly in the defence and believes Lindelof can do the job.
Reports in the Portuguese outlet Record claim that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Benfica over a potential deal, with reports that the English club are ready to pay £35million for the services of Belotti.
United were gutted after they could not complete a deal for Antoine Griezmann due to the transfer ban on Atletico Madrid.
However, it is expected that Jose Mourinho will spend on new signings this summer to bolster their chances in the Premier League and Champions League next season.
