Chelsea star Pedro has revealed ‘everything’ was wrong under Jose Mourinho during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The Spain international joined the Blues in August 2015 for £21.4million from Barcelona and was part of the Jose Mourinho team that failed to deliver last season which led to his eventual dismissal last December.
Pedro insisted there were major problems at the Bridge under Jose Mourinho while he struggled to pin-point the reason behind the poor form under Portuguese boss.
The 29-year-old said: “It was about everything, everything just wasn’t right,”
“We were very low in the league, the spirits were very low, the trust was very low, everything was going wrong. It made it very difficult to be fit, to be in a good position. It was just the whole thing – it wasn’t right.”
The Spaniard also admitted Antonio Conte has demanded a lot of fitness work from them in training.
He said: “I have worked with many managers, but this is the one who has made us train the hardest, definitely,”
“But it’s very good because you can see the results of it.
“It’s not just me, everyone in the team is very physically fit right now. We’re all very fit, unlike last year when we weren’t that fit and we were not really at the top. This year, Diego [Costa] and everyone, we are all very fit and we are all working really hard”.
