Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has agreed to a lucrative deal with Italian champions Juventus and he’s set to become their next permanent manager.
According to SNAI sportnews, the Italian tactician has agreed to a three-year contract deal worth £6.1m on a yearly basis to replace Maximiliano Allegri as the Juventus manager.
Sarri will now discuss a severance package with Chelsea to allow him to join Juventus this summer.
An official announcement is expected after the Europa League final in Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday night.
Sarri and Chelsea will be hoping to win their first trophy of the season when they face London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final.
The former Napoli boss has already led Chelsea back to the Champions League via a third-placed finish at the end of the just concluded Premier League season after they missed out on Europe’s premier club competition last season.
Sarri and Chelsea had earlier reached one final which they lost when Manchester City retained the Carabao Cup title at the expense of the Blues via penalties.
They would be desperate to avoid a repeat of their final heartache when they face the Gunners in the Europa League final in two days’ time.
Juventus were turned down by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola before they settled for Maurizio Sarri. Jose Mourinho and Inter Milan-bound Antonio Conte were also options for the Old Lady.
