Manchester United join Liverpool in Steven Bergwijn’s race

The Merseyside club were linked with a move for the PSV Eindhoven winger by the Sun on Wednesday.

The media outlet said that Klopp wants to add the winger to his team as he didn’t want to encounter any slowdown in his chase for the Premier League title.

However, he will need to contend with Manchester United if he must complete the player’s signature this month.

The Red Devils have shown great desire to see the
youngster move to the Theater of Dreams this month and Solskjaer wants his employers to add the 21-year-old to their radar.

The Norwegian has recorded six straight wins since he stepped into Old Trafford but he is still very much keen to have Steven Bergwijn under his watch.

The 25m-rated striker has been a shining light in the Eredivisie so far this term and United are impressed with his wonderful stats.

The Sun says the youngster will command nothing less than 25million from any club who is desperate for his signature but it is increasingly uncertain if PSV Eindhoven are ready to release him in the middle of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have denied rumours linking the club with Chelsea sensation Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Merseyside outfits was reported to have met with the youngster’s brother and agent but it turned out as a mere rumor.

According to Liverpool Echo, Klopp is not thinking of a move for the England international this month because he has many strikers under his watch whom he can call upon if there is an urgent need to replace his regular starters.

United will likely end up not signing him, like they always do.
