The Liverpool duo of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino will have just a little time to get ready for Liverpool’s game against Manchester United as they return from far away South America after their World Cup qualifying games for Brazil.
Both stars are currently with their national side and will only be able to arrive Liverpool on Thursday, whereas the Anfield clash with Jose Mourinho’s side is coming up on Saturday afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp’s side still sits seventh in the premier league table and are seven points behind the duo of Manchester United and Manchester City who are sitting jointly at the top of the table.
The Anfield club are under lots of pressure to emerge victors on Saturday as they need the three points sorely if they are to keep alive their title hopes for this season.
However, the Merseyside club will be sweating on the fitness of both Coutinho and Firmino as both may actually struggle to be fully ready for the clash at Anfield due to their services to their country.
Both players are expected to participate actively in their country’s final World Cup qualifier in Sao Paulo. The game will end in the early hours of Wednesday morning before the duo will jet back to the UK.
