Manchester United are in the danger of missing out on Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports.

The Red Devils are understood to be in the running to sign the promising winger as a host of clubs in the Premier League vie for his signature.

The 19-year-old has been tipped to become the next big thing in the Italian Serie A following his impressive displays that has attracted interest from a couple of clubs in England.

However, Fiorentina are ready to fend off interest from suitors with a new contract, though his current deal runs till 2021.

United have done well so far this summer with the arrivals of promising youngsters to their setup with suggestions that Jose Mourinho is hoping to build the next generation of superstars after spending huge sums of attracting world stars to the club in recent times.

In related news, Mourinho has come out to dismiss reports that he is behind the explosive interview granted by Tottenham Hotspur defender, Danny Rose.

The 27-year-old has been tipped to make an audacious swoop to Old Trafford this summer following his comments in his recent interview, criticizing Spurs’ transfer policy.

Mourinho has claimed that he  had ‘nothing to do with that interview’ despite keen reports that a move could be in the offing for Rose.
