Liverpool keen on Udinese playmaker
A fter a successful loan spell at Empoli last season, Piotr Zielinski has impressed Liverpool enough to table a bid for the Polish midfielder’s services.
However, they could face competition in the form of Napoli. Due to the Partenopei participating in the Champions League next season, that may prove to be a decisive factor in Zielinski choosing the San Paolo over Anfield.
Report have it that Liverpool have offered €12 million for Zielinski, and that he would like to join the club. Napoli are still in race, nevertheless, as talks are ongoing with Udinese.
Wherever he ends up, Zielinski looks certain to be the next elite player to be bought by Udinese and then sold for a sizeable profit, following in the footsteps of Alexis Sanchez, Samir Handanovic and Mehdi Benatia.
Should Zielinski choose Liverpool over Napoli, Jurgen Klopp is an obvious attraction. He is clearly a fan of the German as he recently described the former Dortmund boss as ‘one of the best coaches around’ and it is believed that a move to the Merseyside is the player’s preference at present
