Liverpool join THIRTEEN CLUBS in the race for Brazilian youngster

Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and eight other clubs are in the heated race to sign Brazilian youngster Emerson.

Emerson is a rising star with loads of potential and his performance for Atletico Mineiro has attracted many top clubs from Europe.

According to the Mirror in one of their Thursday’s transfer rumours, 14 clubs are after Emerson’s signature as they all know the qualities and the advantages they stand to benefit from his service.

The well-known media outlet suggest that Arsenal and Barcelona were the first clubs who spotted his talents and made enquiries about his availability at the ongoing transfer market.

Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in capturing the 20-year-old centre-back who can also feature as right-back or left-back.

Watford are looking at the prospect of beating Barcelona and Liverpool to his signature. The Hornets are inconsistent in their performance at the back, so, they hope to bolster their defensive strength at the ongoing transfer window.

Barcelona and Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are set to make their respective defensive setup look more youthful and energetic by adding the Brazilian star to their squad.

As for Liverpool, it remains unknown if Klopp will want to spend big on his signature, knowing that his injured defenders Joe Gomez and Alexander-Arnold are close to full recovery.

Unai Emery will now intensify his desire to bring Emerson to Emirates stadium after watching Hector Bellerin being stretched out of their victory against Chelsea last weekend.

The Spaniard will play no role in the club’s mission to qualify for next season’s Champions League competition as he has been ruled out of action for six months.
