Former Premier League champions Leicester City are planning a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to reports coming out of the media in the United Kingdom.

The specific report from The Sun claim that Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a reunion with Daniel Sturridge this summer.

The Foxes recently appointed Brendan Rodgers as their new manager after the dismissal of Claude Puel earlier this year.

The former Swansea City and Liverpool boss left the chance to win a treble at Scottish champions Celtic for the third time in a row to take up the vacant managerial job at the King Power Stadium.

He lost his first game to Watford in the Premier League (1-2) before winning four successive league outings.

Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City then suffered the first home league defeat of his tenure via a 1-0 loss to Newcastle United.
