With Jose Mourinho considering wielding the axe on Memphis Depay’s career at Old Trafford, Serie A champions Juventus could be the ones to profit.
Manchester United winger Memphis Depay could be on his way to Serie A , as Juventus are considering making a bid for the Dutchman.
Despite only arriving at Old Trafford last season in a deal worth almost €30 million from Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, Memphis has failed to impress consistently in the Premier League and has been on the fringes of the first team.
With new boss Jose Mourinho looking to rebuild after a season in which the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League, Memphis could be one of the first to be sacrificed under the new regime.
This has alerted Juventus, who are keen to find a replacement for Juan Cuadradro, who has returned to Chelsea from his loan spell, according to reports.
The Bianconeri are thought to be keeping a watchful eye over the 22-year-old’s situation at Old Trafford and are ready to pounce should Manchester United be willing to discard the Dutchman. Massimiliano Allegri’s men would be able to get Memphis at a cut price, with a €20 million fee being mooted.
Memphis has made 24 appearances for the Netherlands and represented his country at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, as they finished third.
