Even though Jurgen Klopp’s side have managed keeping two clean sheets in their last two games in the premier league, the fact remains that the German boss still need to reinforce his backside at the end of this season.
Despite the fact that Klopp signed two center-half defenders with a new goalkeeper last summer, it is obvious that he needs more quality in his team. Karius has been average at the post and that is not enough. And even though Simon Mignolet has, in recent weeks, proved to be a quality keeper, Liverpool simply needs an amazing goalkeeper at the club.
And once more, Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford is back in the limelight.
Jordan was linked with the Anfield club in the past January transfer window, and even though the move didn’t materialised then, they aren’t giving up on him.
Jordan has been regarded as the best player at Sunderland this season but he wasn’t able to help them from surviving relegation this term.
Not only Liverpool are interested in him, but a handful of other clubs too. And because of that, their manager has stated that they are going to sell their big asset for a big price.
His current contract at the club will expire in 2020 and the Telegraph suggests that an offer worth £25 million would be hard to reject by his club.
