Manchester United have given up about signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier this summer.

Spurs are adamant on not allowing the English midfielder leave this summer despite United’s serious intent in signing the player.

Jose Mourinho has made Dier his next priority this window after completing transfer deals for Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku, with suggestions that the United boss sees him as an ideal replacement for Michael Carrick who has been tipped to leave Old Trafford after a successful career at the club

However, reports in the Sun claim that Mourinho has been told that there is no chance of signing Dier this summer with reports that the North Londoners are not willing to sell any of their stars after the exit of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

It is understood that the English midfielder is also open to an Old Trafford move but he recently a new five-year, meaning the club will play a major role in a potential transfer move.

Manchester United have been buoyed with news that Ivan Perisc’s transfer move to the Old Trafford is all but done after agreeing deal with Inter Milan. The winger is expected to make his debut for the Red Devils in their preseason of China
