Jens Lehmann set to return as the first-team coach

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will come back to Arsenal as a first team coach this summer in his third stint with Arsenal, having played twice on different occasions for the club. Arsène Wenger is set to restructure his backroom staff with the former safe hand joining to add some much-needed winning mentality in the team.

The Guardian reports that Jens Lehmann will work together with current goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton and also assist in the general functioning of the team as they attempt to challenge for the Premier League title and at least secure top four.

Lehmann, 47, joined the North London club from German side Borussia Dortmund in 2003 and played over 200 first-team matches during his playing time with the club. He was also an integral member of the Invincibles team which went an entire season unbeaten in 2003/04 campaign, which was also the last time Arsenal won the English Premier League title.

The Former Germany International left North London after the end of the 2007-08 campaign but returned in 2011 as injury backup for the likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Vito Mannone, and Lukasz Fabianski when he made another appearance.
