As the transfer window draws close, Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has confirmed his preference for Premier League champions Manchester City ahead of other interested clubs.

Pep Guardiola and Houssem Aouar are no strangers to each other after the Manchester City boss ran the rule over the midfielder in the Champions League.

Aouar produced a man-of-the-match (MotM) performance as Lyon stunned Manchester City 2-1 at home on Matchday 1 of the Champions League this season before repeating the same feat in the second meeting between the two teams in France.

The Matchday 5 clash between the two teams ended 2-2 and Guardiola went on to praise Houssem Aouar for his performance.
