Finally! Pogba laugh last over Mourinho as the Portuguese got sacked

Jose Mourinho

Manchester United manager José Mourinho was finally shown the exit door by the club’s hierarchy via Vice-chairman Ed Woodward in the early hours of today.

WE ALL SAW IT COMING!

The handwriting has been on the wall right from the start of the season as the team looked uninspired and nonchalant in their performances.

The Portuguese manager lost the control of the dressing room and he became more of a ‘noisemaker’ than a manager.

His relationship with fans, players, board members and even his backroom staffs left so much to be desired and they all played a big part in his dismissal.

MOURINHO VS POGBA’S UNRESOLVED CRISIS

If there’s one player who immensely contributed to the manager’s contract termination, that must be France international Paul Pogba.

The former Juventus midfielder has been at loggerheads with Mourinho for almost six months or more.

It all began towards the end of last season when the manager dropped the player from his starting lineup, preferring up-and-coming academy product Scott McTominay ahead of the experienced world cup winner.

The unhealthy relationship got worsened in September when Mourinho stopped the Frenchman from being the second captain of the team. This was as a result of Pogba’s comment after the team’s 1-1 draw against Wolves at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman questioned Mourinho’s tactical approach to games and it stroke the wrong part of the Portuguese manager, who wasted no time before taking a very angry and unnecessary action.

Things went from bad to worse between both parties in the same month when reports — with video evidence — suggested that the manager was avoiding the player and vice-versa.

It got to a point where the Frenchman was permanently omitted from Mourinho’s starting lineup his contract termination.

POGBA LAUGH LAST!

The heated crisis is all but over as Mourinho gets his marching order from his employers earlier today.

Two-and-a-half years journey at Old Trafford ends for the Portuguese manager who led the Red Devils to a Europa League and FA Cup trophy in his first season at Old Trafford.

As it stands, Pogba is the winner of the contest as he finally sees the end Mourinho’s reign at Old Trafford.

Will POGBA LAUGH BEST?

As it’s often said : “he who laugh last, laugh best” but in this case, it remains to be seen if Pogba will laugh best.

With the January transfer market right at the corner, the midfielder could move out of Old Trafford in January.

His current form for Manchester United didn’t guarantee his long-term future with the team.

Now that he holds no grudge against anyone, Paul is expected to return back to his usual and excellent form in subsequent matches.

Anything short of that, the Frenchman’s joy will be a short-lived one as United will cash-in on his signature by January or in the summer window.
