Fans Unhappy With Zlatan Display Against Manchester City

Manchester United made it through to the quarterfinals of the EFL cup after a 1-0 victory over arch rivals Manchester City.

Though the match will not go down as been a classic, it was a needed victory for the red devils after they were humiliated 4-0 by Chelsea last weekend.

Despite the victory, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been heavily criticized by the fans for his display, with many feeling his performances lately have dropped dramatically. Though he did set up Juan Mata for the only goal of the night, he was anonymous for most of the match especially in the first half.

In the summer when it was announced that Zlatan would join Manchester United, a lot of United fans were very excited and rightly so as Zlatan remains one of the best strikers in the world today. Though a few questioned the long-term value of the deal as Zlatan was joining United at the age of 34, many believed he will be an instant hit with the Red devils.

The big Swede has been on a run of one goal in nine matches and this has not gone down well with some fans as they took to twitter to share their disappointment. Below are some of the tweets.

Manchester United paid absolutely nothing for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he's still a waste of money! pic.twitter.com/SXrHp3vknq

Rashford up front please. Zlatan has got so bad I'd accept Depay on the left.

From the above, it seems the love of the fans for Zlatan has worn off.
