Reports on Monday in Spain had claimed that Atletico Madrid are closing in on a move for Benfica teen sensation Joao Felix after agreeing to pay the £105m (€120m) release clause in his contract with the newly crowned Portuguese champions.
According to trusted Spanish newspaper AS, Benfica have rubbished those transfer rumours linking Joao Felix with the Rojiblancos.
Joao Felix has previously been linked with a move to Champions League holders Liverpool who had a £61m bid rejected for him towards the end of last year.

Joao Felix enjoyed a breakthrough season for Benfica during the just concluded season.
The 19-year-old attacker scored 20 goals in all competitions for Benfica who were able to reclaim the Portuguese Super League title from rivals FC Porto.
His best display came in the Europa League quarterfinals when he scored a treble in their first leg clash with German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
