North London club Arsenal are reported to still be in the race for another London outfit West Ham United’s young defender Reece Oxford with the hope of securing his signature, now that the transfer winter transfer window has been reopened.
Reports according to a report on the Daily Mirror hint that the North London side are believed to be monitoring the situation having learnt that the Englishman is no more a regular in Manuel Pellegrini’s team so far this season.
The situation alone has been frustrating for Reece Oxford who is young and wants to have an active career which makes Gunners consider a move for him in coming days.
It would be recalled that Reece Oxford spent the last campaign on loan at German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach where he had performed satisfactorily and was wanted on a permanent basis but his owners had refused the offer outrightly.
However, the Hammers’ management are now powerless in stopping the player from moving knowing that he currently has no space in the Manuel Pellegrini team.
With the Gunners running out of options of defenders, manager Unai Emery is considering Oxford to ease his defensive concerns which could be on a loan deal.
