According to latest reports, impressive Manchester United star player Ander Herrera is set to put pen to paper for a new contract at Old Trafford, and he will be doing that before this year runs out.
Herrera has been at the club since 2014 and was able to impress Man United new Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester Evening News made it known that the Spanish midfielder is relaxed about his deal situation at Man United, and he intends committing his long-term future to the red devils.
It was also said that the club’s boss Mourinho admires Herrera so much and that he sees the Spaniard as an important member of his team.
However, the 28-year-old has only started two of his side’s seven games this season, but will nevertheless be rewarded with a new and improved deal at Old Trafford.
During the past summer transfer window, the talented player emerged as a surprise target for Spanish side Barcelona, but he is understood to be happy and settled at Old Trafford.
Ander came on for the final 15 minutes of his side’s 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday at Old Trafford, and his Portuguese manager hailed his impact from the bench.
Manchester United are still sitting at the top of the premier league table, and they look unstoppable this season considering their recent impressive performances both domestically and in Europe.
