There are suggestions that the current injury worries in the Manchester United team should be blamed on former manager Jose Mourinho due to how he handled the team before his sack.
The Portuguese international had two years and more reign at the Old Trafford before he was eventually sacked and replaced by the current interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who brought in a different approach.
It is now worrying that the Red Devils might be without 10 players when they file out for the English Premier League tie against Crystal Palace later on Wednesday as a result of various degrees of injuries.
The injury crisis is United’s worst experience in many years as it was not experienced during the Louis Van Gaal era and that of the former Portuguese boss.
Records have it that injury worries are usually very low under the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager which he boasted of because when he first joined the club.
The statistic has therefore faulted the former manager’s technical approach which has forced the players into being lazy and not giving much. This is after it was revealed that United had very low distance covered of 4023.4 kilometres in 2016-17 and the worst in the league last season with 4099.8 kilometres.
The effect of it is now telling on the players now that they have a manager who has demanded more from the players. The likes of Nemanja Matic, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are all suffering muscle injuries as a result of strain.
However, it is argued that the poor approach of the former manager has resulted in the recent injury crisis at the club.
