Why Marcus Rashford must reject Solari’s offer

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has shockingly emerged as Madrid’s prime target ahead of the upcoming transfer market in January.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus before the start of this season, the Los Blancos have failed to score plenty of goals.

At first, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema rose up to the occasion as they combine to score seven goals in just two games.

It looked like both players were ready to lead the team to another successful campaign without their deadly and influential Portuguese striker

However, their impressive goalscoring feat at an early stage of the campaign turned out to be a fluke.

They couldn’t maintain the tempo and they let their feet off the pedal. They now have scored a handful of goals in the League so far.

Their recently hired manager Solari isn’t contended  with his strikers’ form in front of goal, hence, the need to bring the 21-year-old to Santiago Bernabeu suddenly arise.

Mbappe is doing wonders at Paris St-German. Dembele, though yet to truly prove his worth, did a great job against Tottenham in midweek Champions League clash.

Playing for Real Madrid shouldn’t be a problem for the pacy and versatile player, however, this is not the right time for Rashford to think about such a move.

Being a young player who has never played for any club except Manchester United, it will take him some time to settle down at the Spanish capital.

Irrespective of Benzema and Bale’s uninspiring form, Solari won’t want to take any risk of dropping them from his starting lineup in Rashford’s favour.

Having failed to get much game-time under Mourinho during the 2017-18 season as result of Sánchez’s switch to Old Trafford, it is obvious the England international won’t be an integral part of Solari’s team due to intense competition among players.

What’s the essence of changing a team when things are going on smoothly for him at Old Trafford? the youngster has revamped his career and he’s won Mourinho’s heart over again.

The Portuguese manager now features him more prominently than his direct competitor Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial.

He is scoring goals and the England international is fast becoming the player we all craved to see in the previous campaign.

As much as a move to the Champions League winners sounds interesting and awesome, this is not the right time for him to leave the Red Devils.

He must continue to develop all aspects of his game; score more goals, assist many goals, win many individual awards and make pundits sing his praise.

Once that is done on regular basis for two seasons, then he can push through his desire to join Madrid as no manager will want to put a great asset on the bench.
