New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly blocked the loan move for midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

According to a publication from popular English media portal Daily Mirror, London rivals West Ham United are interested in taking Loftus-Cheek on loan till the end of the season.

However, Sarri is adamant that the 22-year-old won’t leave the club when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Apart from West Ham United, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also been linked with a move back to Crystal Palace.

He spent the entirety of the last season on loan at Selhurst Park.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek impressed a great deal for the Eagles and that earned him a spot on the 23-man England squad list for this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

He helped the Three Lions to an impressive fourth place finish at the tournament.

Since Loftus-Cheek returned to the Chelsea team in the summer, he has failed to break into the Blues’ starting XI under Sarri.

His fortunes under the Italian tactician changed when he scored a hattrick during the Europa League Matchday 3 clash at home to BATE Borisov FC of Belarus.

He followed it up with a goal in the 4-0 thrashing of Burnley in the penultimate Premier League game.

Loftus-Cheek has now scored four goals in his last three appearances in all competitions.
