Ex Liverpool, Man U Legend – This Chelsea Player Will Score Against Wolves

Owen: Why This Player Will Score For Chelsea At Wolves

Michael Owen is backing Chelsea star player Michy Batshuayi to fire his side to victory over Wolves in the FA Cup

The former Man U, Liverpool star is tipping Batshuayi to fire Chelsea to victory over Wolves in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday night.

Chelsea head into the game looking to continue their fine domestic form this season under new Italian coach Antonio Conte.

The Stamford Bridge club are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table and have also firmly established themselves as the favorites to win the league this term.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea last summer from Marseille but has however struggled seriously to hold down a regular spot in the first team since his move.

This season so far he is yet to make a single Premier League start for Chelsea but has featured 16 times as a substitute in the top flight.

And so far this season, the striker has featured in both of Chelsea’s FA Cup clashes, and Micheal Owen is expecting to see the Belgian forward find the net for his side on Saturday night.

Owen writing in his column for BetVictor said: “The last side to knock out Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup in the same season was Barnsley back in the 2007-08 season but I can not see Wolves joining the Tykes.

“Paul Lambert’s sides form has dipped in recent games losing their last three in the Championship including back-to-back 1-0 home losses to Newcastle and to Wigan earlier in the week.

“Chelsea are unlikely to make as many changes as many of the top clubs given they have no European engagements to worry about but I expect Michy Batshuayi to get a start and he is taken to make the most of his opportunity.”
