Former European champions Chelsea reportedly had a bid rejected for highly rated Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo before the end of the winter transfer window on Thursday night.
This is according to the publication from popular media portal Teamtalk.
It was revealed that the Blues were trying to secure a transfer for the young attacker late into the deadline day of the winter transfer window.
Chelsea had a £2m rejected for Antonine Semenyo as they failed in their bid to lure the player to Stamford Bridge.
Antoine Semenyo plays his club football for English Championship club Bristol City at the moment.
He was on loan at League One club Newport County before he was recalled from the loan spell by his parent club.
His form for Newport County had led many Premier League clubs to his qualities and Chelsea are one of those teams.
The loan recall decision from Bristol City sparked talks of a move to Stamford Bridge but the Blues were not able to secure his transfer.
Chelsea still have the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Olivier Giroud in their attack with Argentine international Higuain the undisputed first choice.
He has played two games for Chelsea since his loan move from Juventus last week.
