Wolves vs Liverpool, Why Klopp must be wary of the Wanderers

Ask Manchester City, they will tell you why it’s difficult to face Wolves at the Molineux Stadium. The Premier League defending Champions lost their 100% start to the season against the Nuno Espirito Santo ‘s men.

Guardiola’s men were settling for their first defeat of the season against the team but a great show of individual brilliance by Sergio Aguero helped the Citizens salvaged a point from the encounter.

Despite Chelsea’s great run of form, the last season Championship winners humbled the Blues right in front of their home fans.

They didn’t give the Blues any breathing space to throughout the game and the most surprising part of the night was the final result — they made the Blues lost their first Premier League game of the season as it ended 2-1.

They didn’t stop there, rejuvenated Arsenal failed to pick maximum points against the recently promoted team. The Gunners only settled for a 2-2 draw.

Manchester United were lucky to pick a point against them. It required a great comeback from the Red Devils to avoid an embarrassing defeat to the team.

Liverpool are next in line for the Wanderers, who are on three-match winning streak and Klopp must be wary of the Molineux outfits later tonight.

Will the Reds be the next victim of the League’s giant killers?

Liverpool are in their best form in recent years. They are yet to lose maximum points in any of the League games they’ve played so far season and they are looking sharp and strong as the season progresses.

However, that didn’t guarantee the Anfield outfits will have an easy game later today.

Chelsea were in similar condition prior to the game against Nuno Santo ‘s men and we all know how it ended for the West London club.

They endured a poor run of form early in this month which saw them recorded back-to-back defeats to Huddersfield and Cardiff City.

However, Wolves have returned to great form and they would be looking to end Liverpool’s invincibility just as they did to Chelsea a week ago.

The Wanderers occupy the seventh position in the Premier League standings with 25 points, 20 points behind tonight’s opponents who are sitting uncomfortably at the summit of the table with 45 points.

A win against Jurgen Klopp’s men will see them move up to the sixth position ahead of Manchester United, who will be in action against Cardiff City on Saturday.

As for the Reds, a win at the Molineux Stadium will see them create a four-point gap between them and Manchester City who won’t be in action until Saturday when they tackle Crystal Palace.
