Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally handed his dream job as Man United’s permanent manager after impressing within the last few months as an interim boss.
The former Red Devils forward was handed the role in December last year after Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho was sacked for failing to produce good results at the Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils management have heeded to the calls by ex-players and pundit to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a three-year contract deal on Thursday.
The major concern is the fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given the mandate to steer the club back to the top and dominate the English Premier League as well as in the European Champions League as it was known in the past.
This is no doubt a difficult one for the 46-year-old, knowing the rapid change in football and the increased competition that is now experienced in the Premier League.
It would be recalled that during the days of Alex Ferguson, it was a race between three teams and four in his last two years but as it stands, it has become a race between six teams in the league while the Champions League is now more competitive than ever.
