English Premier League outfit Arsenal are reported to have made an attempt to secure the signature of Juan Mata from their long0term rivals but the deal failed to fall through.

The latest report claims that the Noth London outfit have not given up on the Spanish playmaker and they will make another move in the coming summer transfer window.

This time, the Gunners could have Juan Mata for free knowing that he is yet to agree on a new deal with the Red Devils and might leave as a free player to join the North London team.

It would have been a different case for the North London side if they had succeeded in convincing the player to the Emirate Stadium in the last winter window because they would have made huge for his signature, knowing that he is highly valued at the Old Trafford.

The Gunners are not alone in the pursuit of Juan Mata with French Ligue 1n outfit Paris Saint Germain and Spanish giants Barcelona also keen on his signature.

However, it appears that Juan Mata is keen to join the North London side as he would want to reunite with the Spanish boss Unai Emery, having worked together in the past.
