Why I joined Arsenal, Lucas Torreira

Uruguay international Lucas Torreira has revealed his reasons for giving his nod to the North London outfit Arsenal in the last summer transfer window.

Lucas Torreira signed from Italian Serie A outfit Sampdoria for a fee of about £26.5 million and immediately settled in the team to give an impressive performance for new manager Unai Emery.

There is no doubt that Lucas Torreira is now a fans’ favourite as his name is usually being sung in matches at the Emirate Stadium.

Lucas Torriera who made the reason why he joined the club known on the official website stated that he has received help from the Spanish boss and that helped him settle well into the team.

According to him, he joined Arsenal to have an experience of English football and the style as well as to win the league.

According to him, his target has already been set and he hopes to meet up by improving in every game as it progresses.

However, there is no doubt about the quality of the former Sampdoria layer as he has been able to provide the cover needed for the defence from the middle.

Meanwhile, his hope of winning a trophy has now been limited to the Europa League as he can no longer win the Premier League this season.
