Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that the Champions League is important to his team if they must be able to secure the signature of world stars.
The Red Devils are currently struggling in the 5th position and they are hoping that they push through to a top-four finish ahead of Arsenal who are in fourth position with about 10 games left.
The Old Trafford outfit had a very slow start of the season as they barely won a game under former manager Jose Mourinho until his sack late last year and was succeeded by former forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is responsible for returning the United team back to winning ways with the loss against PSG in the Champions League as their only defeat.
The former Red Devils’ forward is therefore tipped to take over on a permanent deal as the club’s boss after mush pressure from fans and other former players.
There is no doubt that he has his eyes on adding more strength to the team in the coming summer transfer window but that will be hugely dependent on the qualification of the club to the Champions League.
According to him, star players will not agree to join the club if they cannot find a Champions League football.
