Manchester City star player Vincent Kompany believes his side can still find their way into the Champions League semifinals by beating Liverpool when both sides meet at Etihad next week.
The skipper remains optimistic his side can comeback from the 3 goals down when they host Liverpool at Manchester next week.
The trio of Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane scored three quick goals at Anfield to put their side ahead on Wednesday night.
Although Manchester City eventually dominated the game, the sky blue club couldn’t score a vital away goal before full-time.
However, club captain Vincent Kompany said his side have learned some lessons they will use to beat Liverpool next week.
Speaking to the Independent recently, Vincent said no one at City is giving up so soon, and that they are already ready to make things right on April 10.
Should Jurgen Klopp’s side score just once at Etihad, Guardiola’s men will need some whopping five goals to win the game.
But Kompany insists his side can score up to five if it’s required to progress to the next stage.
Kompany will hope his side can first beat Manchester United on Saturday to enable them to win the premier league before marching into April 10.
