United could still face UEFA fine after Tuesday night offence

There is no doubt that manager Jose Mouirnho has been the reason why Manchester United as a club has been in the news for so many controversial and negative reasons.

All the many controversies were not heard of the Old Trafford side before the coming of the Portuguese manager.

It has been either a controversy with the media, the players, dressing room crisis, rift between manager and the management and all sort of issues.

The latest is the fact that Mourinho failed to obey the UEFA Champions League rule of arriving at the stadium 77 minutes before kick-off, an offence that was committed not too long ago.

The United team was reported to have come late, arriving at the stadium at 7:09pm for the 8pm kickoff which is a repetition of what happened in their previous home game against Valencia.

Recall that the Champions League game against the Spanish side had to be delayed for five minutes, a development that attracted a fine of £13, 000 fine on the club.

However, UEFA are yet to make any statement on the Juventus lateness with suggestions that the Red Devils might be spared because the game kicked-off at 8pm without any delay.

The Portuguese manager had cited traffic as the reason for his side’s lateness to the stadium.
