United run short of Mourinho option with latest report on Zidane

Should Manchester United decide to do away with Jose Mourinho at the end of the season, the hope of securing the service of former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane might be dashed.

Zidane has been reported to be considering a move to MLS in America to take over as the head coach of David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the Frenchman and are ready to hand him an opportunity at the Old Trafford but his relationship with his former Madrid teammates could be the deciding factor.

The Englishman and former Manchester United star is concluding plans to place his club on a high stage with a reputable manager and world-class players.

According to reports, both former players have had preliminary talks with the Frenchman yet to secure another job since leaving the Spanish giants.

Zidane’s achievement with Madrid, winning the Champions League in three consecutive seasons has placed him in a position to secure jobs with big clubs as United.

But the development could be a big blow to United as they will now be left with lesser options as a replacement for the Portuguese manager.

The former Chelsea boss has yet to prove he will remain at the Old Trafford with his unconvincing performance so far this season.

Aside from having a slow start with two defeats, the Mourinho men drew 1-1 in front of their fans against Wolves.
