Manchester United players have been indicted in the grudge between manager Jose Mourinho and French midfielder, Paul Pogba.
The bust-up between Mourinho and Pogba has taken over the pages of newspapers as the crisis at the Old Trafford gets more serious.
The Portuguese manager and the World Cup winner had a frosty exchange of recent in addition to Mourinho’s decision to strip Pogba of the captain ban.
Danny Higginbotham, a football expert and columnist in his article, wrote that the senior players of the club made the situation get messier.
According to Higginbotham, the senior players should have sorted out the issues from the dressing room before it got to the public.
He said Mourinho failed to give his players the freedom to take certain responsibilities instead; he sought to have complete control over them.
Higginbotham said situations like this would have been brought under control by the senior players if the former manager, Alex Ferguson was still in charge.
The football expert says Ferguson has big respect for players and would give them such responsibility to handle dressing room crisis.
However, he noted that football has changed from what it used to be and managing a club is now more difficult a task to take.
