It has been reported that Manchester United owners are yet to contact former Real Madrid gaffer Zinedine Zidane against what has been reported in the media.
Zidane has been named as a replacement for Jose Mourinho who is reported to be facing sack at the Old Trafford due to the poor results that have emerged in recent weeks.
The speculations of Mourinho’s sack became more intense when he suffered a 3-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend and failed to secure a win at the Old Trafford against Valencia in the Tuesday’s Champions League clash.
However, The Independent reports that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is not convinced of Zidane’s ability to turn things around.
According to the report, United owners, what is obtainable at the Old Trafford is completely different from the scenarios that were on the ground for Zidane when he was managing the Spanish side.
It is being argued that he might not be fit for the project entailed at United, hence they seek to look other direction.
However, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is being considered and would be preferred than the French manager, it has been revealed.
It is, however, unclear if Daniel Levy will allow Pochettino leave the club at midseason to United.
