United eyeing another Barcelona player

Man United were initially linked with a move for Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho but there are fears that they might not win in the race as he might not leave Camp Nou anymore.

However, the Red Devils are now being linked with a move for Croatia international Ivan Rakitic who is suggested to be available in the coming summer transfer window.

A number of clubs have been linked with the signature of the Barcelona midfielder with Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan tipped to be leading in the race but they have now been joined by the Red Devils who are keen also, on his signature.

Ivan Rakitic has got a contract running with the La Liga giants until July 2021 but he might not see the end of the deal with claims that Barcelona will be ready to part ways with him for £50 million.

Suggestions are that Ivan Rakitic will bring in his wealth of experience to the Old Trafford and will have a good blend with France international Paul Pogba.

But Ivan Rakitic doesn’t have age on his side. This could be the hindrance to the deal as the Red Devils might be unwilling to pay such an amount for that reason.
