Liverpool have refused want away Simon Mignolet from moving to another club this season.
The 30-year-old Belgian shot-stopper who has been with the Merseyside outfit since 2013 lost the starting spot to German-born Loris Karius last year after enjoying 4-seasons of holding down the starting spot.

A world-class goalkeeper in the person of Alisson Becker has since arrived Anfield and Loris Karius two-year loan deal to Besiktas confirmed just last week. Simon Mignolet is not happy about the events unfolding at the club.
The Belgian told Het Laatste Nieuws:
‘I find it bizarre that Karius is [on loan], while I also had options to be [loaned],’
In the wake of Karius’s loan move to Besiktas, Jurgen Klopp has come out to say that the Belgian will now be back up to the former AS Roma goalkeeper, describing him as ‘a wonderful, perfect goalkeeper.’
The reality for Liverpool is that beyond the Brazilian there are few alternatives and Mignolet is the Reds’ only other senior stopper. So, if he were to push for a move before the end of the transfer window the Reds could be short of options between the sticks.
With the August 31 European transfer deadline date approaching, it will be interesting to see how this one plays out for the current Premier League leaders.
