North London boss Unai Emery is set to raid French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco of star player Youssef Ait Bennasser in this winter transfer window.
Reports claim that the Spanish manager is a big fan of Youssef Ait Bennasser and will seek to bring him to the North London with the Gunners under former Arsene Wenger making a failed attempt for the star player in 2016 when he was 20 years of age.
Calciomercato reports that the former PSG boss also made attempt to secure the player for Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla when he was in charge but failed as well.
However, this could be the time for the Gunners boss to land the holding midfielder from the struggling French Ligue 1 side.
With Monaco being managed by a former Arsenal player Thierry Henry, it is expected that the good relationship between both parties will play a big role in ensuring an agreement for a deal.
Meanwhile, the Arsenal legend would be hand-tied by the fact that his side have struggled to win games this season, hence losing a big player like Youssef Ait Bennasser could cost the team more.
Howbeit, Thierry Henry has just secured the signature of another former Gunners player Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea.
