Truth revealed : Jurgen Klopp wants to sign ‘cheap but quality’ defenders

The reason behind Klopp’s reluctance to get replacements for his injured players has finally been uncovered as Daily Record reporter Duncan Castle claimed the manager is in search of ‘cheap and reliable’ defenders.

The well-respected journalist revealed this secret in on of his writeup on Wednesday where he said the ex-Borussia Dortmund boss isn’t ready to spend big on any player this month due to the huge money he invested on player’s signature prior to the start of the campaign.

The Merseyside club spent £168.2m in the summer ( according to transfermarket) as he successfully brought Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Fabinho to Anfield in the summer.

Irrespective of Castles’ revelation, the Reds are still linked with some players, including as James Rodriguez, Nabil Fekir, Eder Militao, and Club Brugge’s youngster Danjuma.

As part of the solution to his current injury problems, Klopp has reportedly blocked Camacho’s proposed loan move to Portuguese side Sporting CP.

The youngster made his first-team debut against Wolves last week and he could feature as a replacement for injured Alexander-Anold at the right-back position against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
