According to The Times, Chelsea players are reportedly unhappy with manager Antonio Conte’s training methods.
The newspaper claims the players feel the intensity of Conte’s training routine are contributing to Chelsea’s injury problems.
It comes amid continued rumour over the Italian tactician’s future at the Bridge – and as the club struggled without the likes of midfield maestro N’Golo Kante.
The players feel the high workload is hampering the team’s title defence and aggravating the squad’s injury problems.
The Premier League Champion have lost their past two League games to fall nine points behind Manchester City, and could be without four prominent players for tomorrow’s game against Watford, who are fourth on the log — one place and two points ahead of the Blues.
As per The Times, they profoundly claimed Conte has stuck to the same training routine that won the club success last campaign, with an emphasis on physically demanding routines, lots of tactical sessions and very limited days off. This is despite the Blues having the additional demands of European football.
