Chelsea are hoping to fast-track Tiemoue Bakayoko’s exit from the club as they are willing to pay part of his wages when he moves to AC Milan, according to reports.
The Frenchman arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, following his brilliant displays for AS Monaco in the French Ligue 1 but has seen then failed to continue in same fashion.
Bakayoko could not impress Maurizio Sarri during pre-season, falling behind the pecking order as the Italian boss preferred Ross Barkley in the advanced midfield role in the previous matches.
Reports in Italy have it that Chelsea have reached an agreement with AC Milan over the transfer of Bakayoko on a season-long loan with an option to make it permanent next season.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Chelsea are ready to bankroll more than half of Bakayoko’s wages, after it emerged that AC Milan were getting reluctant over the move due to the player’s wages, which is around 100k per week.
Bakayoko is also believed to be keen on the move in order to get first-team football as he hopes to get back in contention in the French national team.
It is understood that coaches at Chelsea are not impressed with Bakayoko’s tactical indiscipline since he joined them last summer.
