North London side Tottenham Hotspurs have been sensationally linked with Everton star Ross barkley with a view to making the deal possible during the January transfer window expected to open in few weeks’ time.
England international Ross Barkley has attracted some criticisms from his manager at Everton, Ronald Koeman, and according to popular English news outlet London Evening Standard, Tottenham could take advantage of the situation to get the man they want when the transfer window opens next month despite the fact that club’s are always reluctant to sell their players, most especially the key ones, to other clubs in what is the mid-season transfer window.
As per the report from the previously mentioned London Evening Standard a fee of £35m is regarded as the minimum fee that could be enough for the transfer of Ross Barkley, whose contract runs out at the end of next season after he signed a 4-year deal of around £65,000 weekly wages in 2014.
The 23-year old former product of the Everton academy has been below his usual standards this season prompting new club manager Ronald Koeman to drop him for some crucial games however the much improved performance he showed during Tuesday’s 2-1 home win over Arsenal at the Goodison Park would be music to the ears of everyone connected to Ross Barkley.
