North London giants Tottenham Hotspur have joined Liverpool in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

He has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga this season.

His goal contributions have propelled his German club to the top four places on the league table which will guarantee a return to the Champions League next season.

In total, Timo Werner has scored 13 goals in 21 games for club and country this season.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are long-term admirers of Timo Werner with recent reports claiming that the player has turned down a move to the Bavarian giants.
