North London giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes this summer.
This is according to the Daily Mail which cited close sources to the Champions League finalists.
It was believed that Tottenham Hotspur were in the running to sign the 24-year-old midfielder with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
The North Londoners are the second major Premier League club to rule themselves out of the running for the aforementioned player’s signature after English champions Manchester City.
The latest development has left Manchester United and Liverpool as clear favourites to sign the player with Sporting Lisbon willing to entertain an offer of at least £50m for the Portuguese international.
