Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko won’t hit top gear until the next campaign.
That’s according to ex-player turned football pundit Jamie Redknapp who reckons the midfield maestro is suffering from a disrupted pre-season training.
Tiemoue Bakayoko joined the Premier League Champions from French Ligue 1 side Monaco this summer for a whopping £40million.
The France international midfielder signed for the West London club with a knee problem and was ruled out during the summer after having surgery on the knee.
He has since become a prominent part of Antonio Conte’s midfield setup in recent weeks with France international midfielder N’Golo Kante currently out injured.
Chelsea supporters have already taken to the talented midfield maestro who has been struggling for form at Stamford Bridge.
Jamie Redknapp, however, admitted fans haven’t seen the best of the 23-year-old yet. He said the difficulty that Bakayoko has got is that he missed pre-season training, it’s the same with Belgium international forward Eden Hazard.
The Pundit said the midfielder’s issue was made worse because he is now playing in a different league entirely and it’s going to take him a little time.
He stated that fans will probably won’t see the best of the midfielder yet until maybe even after the Christmas break or even next campaign when you are going to see him at his very top level.
