Premier League title challengers Liverpool have sealed a spot in the Champions League final at the expense of Spanish champions Barcelona. The Reds had to mount a miraculous comeback against their Spanish opponents in the second leg of their semifinal tie at Anfield on Tuesday. Liverpool had lost the first leg 3-0 in Spain due to the brilliance of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi who scored two goals in the second half of that game and needed to score four unreplied goals to secure a win over two legs after 180 minutes.
