Premier League club Burnley are in a spot of bother after their dependable goalkeeper Tom Heaton turned down their offer of a new contract. This is according to the report from The Sun which revealed that both parties (Burnley and Tom Heaton) have been in new contract talks for a while. It was further revealed that new contract talks have stalled, thus putting the long-term future of Tom Heaton at Burnley in serious doubt. Tom Heaton has been a top performer for the Clarets since he joined them from Manchester United six years ago. According to new reports from the Sun, Everton are currently in a three way battle with the duo of Liverpool and Manchester City to sign Tom Heaton from Burnley. This season so far, 30-year-old Heaton continues being impressive, helping his side occupy the 13th position on the Epl table.
