Not many Liverpool fans are aware of a player called Armin Hodzic - and that is understandable. Armin Hodzic is a player Liverpool signed from Željezničar in May 2011. He stayed on Liverpool’s books until his contract ended back then in 2014 - including him taking a loan spell back at his previous club Željezničar. Since he was not able to breakthrough at Liverpool, the striker was forced to search for a new club and was taken up by Dinamo Zagreb. The 22-year-old is now a full international for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hodzic is progressing well at Dinamo and has been speaking to Croatian newspaper Vecernji List. He was asked what advice he would give to a 17 year old with an offer from Liverpool ( basically what advice would he give his former self) His response sounds like he enjoyed his time with the Reds, and still has a lot of respect for the premier league club. He first of all attested to the fact that it is not quite easy to leave your family when young, but he would advice youngsters to remain focused on the pitch. “And it is above all always an honour to receive [an] invitation from a great club. It was one of the happier times in [my] life when I was in Liverpool, surely that situation helps to [you] develop as a person and as a player.” He certainly sounds like he doesn’t regret his time at The Anfield club even if he wasn’t able to make the breakthrough.
