Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has unwittingly stated that he wanted to remain at the club for life as he felt “forever attached” at the Emirates. Wenger made this known in his foreword to award-winning journalist Amy Lawrence’s new book ‘The Wenger Revolution: The Club of My Life’. Wenger, who arrived in 1996, is the longest serving manager at Arsenal, spending 22 years at the club before his forceful departure as it was reported that he was given the option to resign or be sacked. Arsenal legend, Gilberto Silva is set to return to the Emirates on Saturday, not for active football but to participate in the charity game where the club's legend will face Real Madrid legends. Expressing his delight, Gilberto says he can not wait to put on the Arsenal shirt again with the good old memories of the club. The former Brazil international said goodbye to active football some three years ago, but the legendary game is one worth partaking in because of the host stadium, Emirates.
