Danny Ings is ready to return to the starting XI when Liverpool clash with West Ham United at the FA Cup this Saturday.
It’s been over two years since the Englishman last grabbed a spot in the club’s starting XI. But after returning to full fitness following his numerous challenges with injuries, Danny is now set to return to Liverpool’s starting lineup.
The England striker picked an injury during Jurgen Klopp’s very first training session as boss at Anfield and was sidelined for a long period of time. Immediately he regained fitness, he, unfortunately, injured his right knee yet again and was ruled out for another nine months.
Over the last 2 years, Danny has played just 7 games for Liverpool, and all came from the bench. However, despite his challenges, the Reds refused to give him to other clubs interested in his signature.
The talented player is now back to his real self, and it appeared he will take Daniel Sturridge’s position in Klopp’s team.
Sturridge was back up to Roberto Firmino, but the talented forward is trying to leave Anfield to a club he can get regular playing time.
Inter Milan are reportedly keen on bringing him to San Siro before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window, and the likes of Sevilla and Roma are also interested in his signature.
